Service Description

The ACLS course builds on the foundation of lifesaving Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers skills, emphasizing the importance of continuous, high-quality CPR. This advanced course highlights the importance of team dynamics and communication, systems of care, and immediate post-cardiac arrest care. ACLS also covers airway management and related pharmacology. Skills are taught in large-group sessions and small-group learning and testing stations where case-based scenarios are presented. The ACLS course covers: • First aid basics (including scene safety, finding the problem, and calling for help) • Medical emergencies (including actions for choking, breathing problems, and shock) • Injury emergencies (including actions for bleeding, broken bones, and burns) • Environmental emergencies (including actions for bites and stings, and temperature-related and poison emergencies) • Adult CPR AED • Child CPR AED (optional module) • Infant CPR (optional module) Do You Need BLS?
